I grew up in New York City, where you're defined by what you achieve — not who you are.
So I did what I was supposed to do. I chased the career, the status, and the validation.
On paper, everything worked.
Inside, nothing did.
I wasn't living my life. I was performing it.
Maybe you know that feeling.
The busy schedule.
The quiet numbness.
The sense that something essential is missing.
So I stopped chasing and started asking harder questions.
What can I do to create something meaningful?
How can I make a positive impact on the world?
How do I turn my pain into something useful?
That search led me inward.
Through struggle, loss, mistakes, and rebuilding, I learned something simple but difficult: presence is not theory. It's practice.
I pursued formal training as a meditation coach, but I learned quickly that a certificate doesn't make you a guide.
Life does.
It comes from falling short, getting back up, and learning the hard way — over and over and over again.
Dear Friends is the result of that rebuilding.
These meditations weren't crafted in pristine silence.
They were born from the chaos of real life.
These aren't answers — they're offerings.
An honest, evolving expression of tools that have helped me stay steady, stay aware, and keep moving forward — even when I didn't have it all figured out.
If something here feels familiar…
If you're tired of performing and ready to live more honestly…
You're not alone.
It's okay to be real.
It's okay to not have it all figured out.
And it's okay to take the first step anyway.
With Gratitude,
Adam
